I tried force closing the app, changing battery settings to restricted and cleaning the cache, I’m using Beta 29.

Yeah, even I can’t replicate it, it happens so randomly.
I want to know this as well. There should be no reason - particularly if not receiving push notifications at this stage in the game that background battery usage should be this high.
Seems like a bug… Hopefully new beta is more polished.
