What I learned trying to turn gamers into board gamers is that most people don’t want to read so we end up making our own bullshit rules.
I found a different group to play board games with irl but then they suck at online games funny enough.

Yeah who else is going to pay for 1GB speeds knowing the most they’ll ever get is 400MB
Yeah it’s the social life that really suffers. When my wife and I were dating I was doing night shifts 10pm-7am then classes starting at 8am.
We’d hangout after classes but I’d pass out trying to stay awake to watch a movie which would cause my body to jolt awake and scare the shit out of her
Sadly it’s pretty easy to get an invite. I got one from a few friends and they told me they just sat in a weird discord asking for invites.
That’s just new competitive games in general though. The best time to play a pvp game is the first month when there isn’t a clear meta yet and everyone’s having a good time.
I don’t think my adhd ever came out as restlessness.
I always tried really hard to keep track of what was going on but the dumbest thing would cause me to zone out . When I was done zoning out I was so lost that I would just give up and continue daydreaming.
You can buy like $50 kits or go on Craigslist and look for someone selling their impulse bought gear.
Add in a license fee and even then it’s not too bad for time killing hobby.
I think when I first got into it I was put off thinking I’d need like the finest $3k in orvis gear and I’d need to buy $10 flies at my local shops.
Like there’s a weird bougie-classist feeling I think a lot of people have which turns them off of trying to get into the sport.
Fly fishing
Got yelled at as a kid for playing with your pole too much? Then it’s the hobby for you. Can practice in your backyard and it’s fun just to whip shit around
Not only that but it’s a worse user experience all around.
I fucking hate the EGS and Xbox stores for browsing new games. Most of the time you’ll get an animated video that’s not game footage and two screenshots that don’t tell you shit.
Not to mention that the formatting is so bad that the client requires you to basically be in fullscreen but you’ve still gotta scroll a mile down to get any info.
Hah fr
I had to write blueJ tests for a class that my wife randomly volunteered me for. So in an hour I threw together ten really easy hello world type tests that the kids world submit to web cat.
The instructions all said don’t just print like 4 if it was asking you to add 2+2 then return and print the sum.
All the kids got it right by printing and returning the correct answers but my wife’s coworker at the library had an aneurism when they realized they could just print the 4.
Don’t forget blackface thing mon
Lmao for real
Every time I’ve gotten a real pay increase it’s because I’ve hopped to a new company.
I hate to admit that my first couple times as a manager I left as soon as I felt like I actually knew what I was doing and not just faking it
Slang as well. Apparently my grandma was hood af so when I tried to use what little German I knew my teacher was like that’s some informal shit.
I enjoy office work more than wfh because I genuinely like the people I work with and I think we riff off each other way better in person
The worst is when you’re trying to look for something but one of the discord bots has said a word similar ten billion times so that’s all that comes up. You’ll try to ban the bot to see other comments but then you just get like blank space or some shit where the bots comments would be
We’re just calling everything ADHD now
Hong Kong
I just expected like a flat New York “too tame to be fun” city but was met with mountains, beaches, and so many bizarre but charming events.
Not that I don’t like New York but it has changed a lot. I don’t want to say it lost its personality but I feel like a lot of big cities have become idk… commercialized?
The food in Hong Kong was pretty disappointing tho or maybe I built it up too much in my head. I went to so many restaurants that were recommended to me by either locals or expats and they were all so bland. Which is wild because I didn’t have to go far across the border into China to find amazing dishes.
Yeah I think men and women should all have some basic level of repair skills. I feel like somewhere along the line everyone got too afraid to break things or hurt themselves.
As a joke I was looking for general everyday items they might’ve sold but now I feel like I’m on a new list.
I did find cool Hawaiian satellite shirts that I kinda want now
Honest question but do they really keep people talking about climate change?
I feel like this is the tenth stunt that I’ve read about then came into the comments and it’s just the same talk about exposure vs art vandalism.
I generally just leave these posts more exhausted and don’t give a shit about exposure or vandalism in the end. With climate change being something the furthest from my exhausted mind.
