  • My hope is that people will just start using social media that specifically tries to avoid AI generated content. Where they know they are directly interacting with real people. I think what’s frustrating for me is that we’re seeing this technology being used for bad reasons. I think AI has specific use cases where it could be extremely useful? But I think there’s far more ways it’s being used for garbage right now.

I’ve noticed when I’m watching YouTube videos specifically. I’ve started to gravitate slightly towards videos that have lower production values. Or that seem a lot more casual and genuine.

  • I think they are people with an endless greed that feeds into itself. With their money, they can generate millions in passive income just by having investments. The system rewards their behavior

An analogy that pops into my head is when you have people that are high rank in a multiplayer game, create a new account so that they can be paired with people who are just starting out. The system feels like it’s just letting smurf accounts demolish everyone.

That analogy maybe isn’t perfect, though, because it implies the ultra wealthy are more skilled when it’s really just a resource allocation issue.

  • Idk, my 20’s were not great, and my 30’s aren’t looking too much better but trying to stay positive. The main difference is I’m learning to cope and adjusting my expectations drastically.

I think restructuring cities and communities to be walkable tight-knit environments would certainly help. Give people reasons to interact outside the house. Give people the time to interact outside the house. Help people achieve a purpose and meaning in life instead of feeling like a cog in a wealth machine.

If we’re all just struggling to get by, it’s no wonder the youth feel despair.

    • this could just be my personal bias showing so idk.

To end this on a happier note, I’ve been starting to think of ways that I can reduce my footprint and still live as comfortable life as possible. I’m aiming for as low expenses that I can manage, along with working the least amount possible. I just don’t really see a point to working my ass off now. I at least have some youth. Might as well enjoy it while I can.

I have no idea how to achieve this yet. But my mindset is there, so I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually.

  • So far, I don’t see how Ukraine benefits in this.

To me, it feels like Trump threatened Ukraine, and Ukraine had no other options but to take a deal. But I’m 100% speculating at this point.

This article says that Trump is only very loosely making any comments regarding security. The only one being - if there are American workers on your soil, you’ll have protection

In my perspective, it looks very similar to past “deals” the United States has made. Look at how they treated translators and other people who helped in the Middle East. To me it seems like they’ll stop any war from occurring until they get what they want, and then they’ll pull out of Ukraine when they feel like it, leaving them high and dry again in the future.

I hope I’m wrong though. I guess we’ll see soon enough

Edit: damn I was right. Trump and his goons just kept talking shit, and shouted at Zelenskyy, and tried to strong arm Zelenskyy to accept whatever deal benefits Trump.

  • This kinda sucks to see. Less competition is a bad thing for everyone. Maybe it’s just me hanging onto every bit of nostalgia I have, but the Xbox generations were special.

I know that it can’t like…physically remove any of the good times I had with the systems over the years. But these consoles have been part of my life since 2001. So many friends and memories were created with these systems. In a way, it feels like your friend is dying, LOL. I know that’s extremely over dramatic, but like damn.

Some of the exclusives that came to the system were really special. It’s sad to see that over the past decade, there were really only a small handful of exclusives that were notable. Especially when early on we had some absolutely amazing stuff.

On a more serious note, I am extremely curious what this means going forward and how they will handle digital purchases a decade from now.
