It looks like that’s a Voyager instance. Voyager is open source, so Lemmy instances are free to host a Voyager instance as an alternate frontend. The main Voyager instance can support any Lemmy instance, but here it’s only for lemmy.world.

The app developer wanted a new and more serious name for the app and Voyager got the most support on a handful of community posts.
Just for reference, Voyager is the new name for the app that used to be called wefwef. As such, wefwef.app and vger.app are both pointing to the same thing.
I’m looking forward to seeing the final result, seeing so many of the third party apps moving to Lemmy has been really inspiring.
Yeah, that tip is applicable for a lot of people who understand what sex is, this isn’t something that really goes away with age in a lot of cases.
I get the nostalgia factor, but bird dinos are cool as hell. They look more like things that would actually be alive, which helps make them feel more awesome to me.
I’m not surprised at all, income data is really useful when doing targeted advertising. This kind of sale should be illegal of course, because our tax data should be sensitive in the same legal or medical data is, but I don’t think Meta’s going to see any consequences for this.
It’s because they claim that they don’t actually do any deliveries, they just maintain the tech platform that connects independent contractors to delivery jobs. They do this for legal reasons, because if you think about it all jobs technically just connect people to tasks that they complete.
Technically it was “Cash money” of them, that money just apparently isn’t for you.
Nice try religionists. I think therefore I am.
Absolutely, thank you for sharing your story, it shows a really good example of conflict resolution.
I wish you luck with your journey, sleep addiction is something far too common in our society.
Ah yeah, that’s the type of thing where you only find it from luck.
Nah, it would just hurt their feelings and make them defensive. The only way for them to improve is to have a private heart to heart discussion about the ways they’re being irritating, and if they genuinely listen and want to improve. If they’re obstinate and think they’re doing nothing wrong, unfortunately there’s no practical way to change their mind.
This would be extremely chaotic and probably ruin social relations, but would be really funny until workplaces collapsed.
I’d say to give it a bit longer before pushing average Redditors to come here. Lemmy is still unstable, and things like the sudden fall of VLemmy or the hacking of Lemmy.world can be enough to get normal users to give up on a new platform.
I mean, even if we went extinct tomorrow our mark on this planet is permanent because of all the damn plastic, much of which will probably fossilize. Even still, the extreme weather and extinction events on the way I don’t think are enough to end us, there will probably be some stragglers that struggle by in the ashes of the old world if nothing else.
Threads is new but not novel. It’s essentially just Meta Twitter and is using Facebook and Instagram to give it automatic momentum.
Indeed, no one has heard anything yet. It’s very strange, I hope the VLemmy admin is ok.
Congratulations to Nepal. Though this ruling isn’t perfect, it sets up a road to eventual full marriage equality, which is a really good thing. Hopefully other nations in the region soon follow, I’m happy to see news like this even as other nations backslide into more extreme conservatism.
