Labs are a mess around water! 😆 Our adopted Lab jumped in the pool minutes after letting her loose on her own. Came outside to find her swimming in circles, whimpering because she couldn’t get out.
Took 2 attempts to show her the ladders. Done. Smartest dog I’ve ever had. Still, she jumped in and emptied our 20G plastic pond on the daily. Had to give up on that project. Damned Lab!
Oh yeah mine was smart but not about swimming! Went to the lake once and she started just swimming towards the opposite side until I literally had to swim out and go rescue her lol. Best dog I ever had though, they’re so full of love.
