SELF-DRIVING TECHNOLOGY SHOULD BE STANDARDIZED AND OPEN SOURCE.

Any other implementation puts profits over human lives.

But on the other hand, if we don’t do that, we can have a whole new level of industrial espionage where Hyundai targets Toyota vehicles to make them seem less safe and take over a wider market share.

Whenever I think the world has gotten bleak, I remind myself that the Shareholders’ value is being maximized to the exclusion of all other priorities. An American tear flows down my face as the stonk line goes up. Bless the shareholders.

          /s if it wasn’t obvious.

This is actually funny. Imagine some automobile vendor misbehaving in some way and all other self-driving cars make a beeline for them just to ruin their crash statistics.

Trains are awesome and I fully support them but let’s not be idealistic here and pretend that true self driving cars will never happen.

Edit: jokes on you! I made a grammatical correction that makes your reply IRRELEVANT. 😉

We all know that the louder an opinion is expressed the more correct it is, so your opinion is very correct.

Heavy equipment also use the technology. Someone using this tool at a construction site could cause massive issue to 70k pound loaders using radar to detect personnel.
