So as the title mentions, I’m wondering how much is too much?

I am currently using Brave with the setting to:

  • Aggressively block trackers & ads
  • Only connect with HTTPS
  • Block fingerprinting
  • Block cross-site cookies

In addition to that, I have installed the following extensions:

  • uBlock Origin
  • Ghostery
  • Decentraleyes
  • DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials

So my question is: Is this overkill? If so, what should/could be removed that may be redundant? I want as much coverage as possible, but not have things bloated.

Nobody is stopping you from staying more time! With that amount of money, you can do what you want.

This is the world we live in.

Caring for “all your friends” would be very dangerous. They’ll want more and more, and friends that you don’t consider friends anymore, will become friends again, all of the sudden.

Eh, only 2 sorta well. I’ve tried learning a bit more, but without being immersed regularly I lose them relatively fast. I can still read a bit of some of them, and hear things in movies or tv shows that I understand.

How about you? You have to have a couple you can at least get around with?

And what languages would those be? Try to keep them fresh with YouTube videos of something that interests you (in the target language).

I can speak ENG, SPA, POR, and ITA 😊 In the past I’ve studied CHI and JAP, but I remember so little and they are so difficult that I doubt I even have a A1 level 😐

German and English are the two I can fumble my way around. Having lived and traveled some, I could fumble some basics in a few others like Dutch. I know a bit of a few others. I can read enough to figure out what’s going on in some contexts, and maybe speak enough to get around, but definitely can’t carry on a conversation in them.

It’s tough. There’s only so many hours in the day, and while I do get to watch some videos on occasion, I sometimes have too many things going on. I used to watch movies I knew well in other languages, so I already knew the context and could piece together words and phrases. I don’t have time for that anymore though.
