Southwestern Russia’s Belgorod region is offering a nationwide record of 3 million rubles ($31,200) in one-time payments for signing military contracts to fight in Ukraine, authorities said Monday. “The payment will amount to 3 million rubles from all sources: the federal, regional, municipal budgets and extra-budgetary funds,” Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said at a regional administration meeting, according to Meduza.

    Y’all need to get a clue, Ukraine is on back foot in Donetsk. If Russia is able to sustain this rate, consequence are grave.

    They can keep spending this money for another few years and they can get some results.

      Moscow started offering 1.9million rubel in July, now Belgorod goes to 3million rubel a few months later. That is a more then 50% increase within 3 months. It is also not just a token amount, but multiple years worth of average Russian salary.

      So no it is not sustainable as Russia has to raise rates and it shows very clearly how much Russian men actually support the war. It also is not as cheap, as offering high salaries in the military, means all other employers have to compete with higher salaries as well. That obviously causes a lot more problems.
