I just use https://filen.io/ for storage and ente for pictures. Nothing wrong with jotta if it works for you though. Also, ente is FOSS and self hostable. In that case it doesn’t really matter where it’s based.

That’s why I choose Jotta cloud over Ente, even though I think that Ente might be a better iCloud replacement
