  • I’m reminded of the game Black and White where you have an avatar/pet that you can train to behave in certain ways. You can do positive reinforcement like giving scritches and whatnot when they do something you want, or negative reinforcement which is effectively a “backhanding the shit out of an anthropomorphic pet” simulator. If they are holding something and you rub their belly they will eat what they’re holding. To train mine not to eat villagers I would hand them one, rub it’s belly, wait for the villager to be eaten, then beat them to a pulp. Usually once was enough but sometimes they’d need a second round

  • I almost exclusively make my own food so should be good on the nova classes (I’d never heard of nova before). When I got out of the hospital I learned to make my own yogurt too which I think really helped me recover from the antibiotics. As far as how healthy my foods are, idk, probably up for debate. While I do make my own food I’ve been resorting to higher fat and sugar dishes (mostly fat I don’t like sweet flavors much) to try and get enough calories to gain weight

  • You refuted my point that they’re in everything by saying it’s easy to avoid nightshades if you: don’t eat out, eat premade food, no eating red colored things, don’t live in the Americas, don’t eat anything ambiguously labeled just spices, and fallback to rice and beans when in doubt? Of course if you’re making your own food you can avoid it and still make stuff you like but op was talking about having these restrictions forced on them to the point they were stealing food. That’s the ridiculous part they didn’t have a choice in the matter and got cut out of all the things you listed with no good way around it
