Always knew those pods sucked for more money. He did convert me to the powder tho
Worked fine. Just think it was a weird and bad experience.
Reads like basically this update came down to magnets in the standard to ensure the coil is always lined up lol. I mean i get it but there isn’t even any updates to power delivery with the max still being 15 w
I know what version of sync I have yah dingus
I did read the article. And you’re just proved my point. It says specifically in the article they can do ota updates to sync 3. Doesn’t mention sync 2. And if sync 2 has a cellular antenna, it ran on a 3G which is now dying/ dead. So my car would not be connected. But there is nothing to indicate as far as I can tell that sync 2 has any sort of telemetry to the outside world.
Except I don’t have sync connect. I have an old sync which as far as I can tell has no telemetry and is completely defunct considering it doesn’t work with anything anymore.
I could waste my time explaining or you could Google it.
Sounds to me like you’re talking out your ass. Otherwise you could just explain it instead of telling me to google it. You did after all “waste your time” by even responding.
Okay that’s good to know. Still generally sounds like a giant pain in the ass
Go ahead and explain. Cuz there’s nothing internet connected on my car.
No it does not. Some models may. But mine does not. Also, as far as I understand you would have to have like a cellular connection or something for your car to phone home anywhere? And not only is that not a service offered on my car? . It would also mean someone has to maintain that device and ensure it’s communicating basically 24/7 . I mean who’s paying for the cell service. Is it running on 3G which is defunct now? If I even had one How can it phone home? I don’t understand.
Generally, as far as I understand side loaded apps work as long as you don’t reboot your phone. Which is kind of a major issue. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the way apples current side loading works just isn’t very applicable with day-to-day use.
Edit: you may be able to bypass this restriction, but as far as I know side loading apps onto Apple phones is extremely difficult. Even jailbreaking an iPhone is extremely limited unless you have a really comprehensive knowledge and then even at that point it is still extremely difficult and relies on people who are very good at what they do. But due to apples restrictions are still not as good as just something you could do out of the box with an Android. In full disclosure, it’s been a very long time since I’ve ever properly used an Apple product. The last time i jail broke something from Apple was probably my iTouch B way back in like 2014 at the latest maybe? I just haven’t been within that ecosystem in a long time and all my knowledge is just really acquired from kind of observing what is around. And cursorly looking into it. For me, I have no reason to ever want to go back to an iPhone. Even if I could side load apps, the restriction of where I can place icons on my home screen frustrates me to no end. Especially as phones have evolved and gotten larger its just like it’s such a old school bygone concept. I don’t even understand why they’re so insistent on keeping it.
Only thing that would make me use an iphone is side loading and the ability to place my icons wherever i want. Its crazy to me that icons have to start in the top left. The hardest place to reach especially as phones have gotten bigger. Such a dumb restriction.
I mean this is gotta be on the newest Internet connected cars right? Cause like aint no way my 2017 ford focus has that many “privacy issues” it doesn’t even have android auto lol.
No its the new fad diet lol
They won’t let any third party apps use it so they are basically as bad as imessage.
Qbit has been around almost as long and has almost always been better. Qbit got apl the nostalgia i need lol
Basically all the phones with headphone jacks now have abysmal long-term support. Even the fair phone got rid of the headphone jack so they could sell their bullshit wireless headphones
He’s talking points of failure when it comes to a person interacting with it. At least that’s my take. Imagine you’re reaching for a volume button instead of a volume slider on the screen. You’re going to hit that mofo basically every single time. Whereas with the touch screen you’ve got to look and pay attention. Make sure your finger goes in exactly the same place etc etc.
