Thirties doesn’t meet any of the three criteria.
Math checks out. Had all my relationships in my 20s. Haven’t had a single one in my 30s and I’m going on 38 now.

I appreciate the kind words! Empathy is proving to be increasingly more rare in society so I appreciate you wanting to express that.
That in pretty much every single sense of the word I’m an absolutely pathetic loser.
I didn’t think I’d ever be anything special, but I also didn’t think I’d be 38 and single for going on a decade, living in someone else’s garage, working in a factory in a dead end position with no degree and not an ounce of self worth to even presume to choose a direction.
10 year old me couldn’t wait to be an adult, but after seeing me I think 10 year old me would never want to grow up knowing what I’d eventually become lol
Man it’s weird how things happen. I was literally just listening to Bo Burnhams “funny feeling” this morning and he has a line about “Robert (Bob) Igers face” and I thought hmm I actually don’t get that, I don’t know who he is. Then I open Lemmy and see this lol
Tariffs are taxes, but they’re taxes for companies not individuals, and they’re only applied to importing, so they won’t affect me.
Typical Magoo (literally my dad in 2016): “you can’t tax business owners, they’re going to just make everything more expensive for us! They pass on the burden to us!”
Also Magoo: “Yay tarrifs! They are a tax on business but that won’t get passed on to me!”
The Magoo motto: Whatever words I need to use to suit my purpose I will use, to hell with reality.
First, in many states the electors are bound by law to support the candidate that wins the popular vote in their state. The penalties may vary, but the intent is clear: to make sure people realize it is against the law in that state
Honestly this is so stupid if I understand their reasoning for existing in the first place. Unless I’m misunderstanding they were supposed to exist literally for this exact election, where the people elected an absolute atrocity of a person and “our betters” would recognize that and vote against him.
We should just do away with it if we have no interest in utilizing them for their actual purposes.
I’m more of a bone apple tea myself, but I hear liber tea keeps the bugs away!
Trump on election night: “MASSIVE FRAUD IN PENNSYLVANIA, POLICE INCOMING!”
He wins big: “teehee, what fraud? I never said that.”
Never forget that these people all genuinely believe that what they are doing is right.
I do have to admit some hypocrisy in my statement. I’m just too angry to be completely fair lately I guess, but I too have said in the past that I strongly agree with the sentiment that “no one is the villain of their own story.” I do believe that to be true.
Except some people like Musk, I’m pretty sure he knows he’s the villain.
This has had me deeply concerned. Nazi Germany was stopped. Who says what would have happened if there was no one to stop them?
At the moment I don’t believe there is anyone capable of stopping us… :(
I appreciate the correction!
for some reason lots of folks like to vote for the dogshit with ground glass mixed into it because they think its funny to watch other people eat it.
The majority of the political videos showing up on my YouTube feed after the election was just right wingers laughing at “the left.”
Their whole identity is hating others.
And-Shove-A-Lightbulb-Up-Your-Ass.
At least then they could say they had a bright idea!
…I’ll see myself out.
even his own voters.
SIGH …I hate having a sense of morality sometimes. It would be so much more satisfying to laugh at them… But… They’re people too. Shitty, hateful people, but still people…
I think that takes more thought than even those who vote with us do. I think we seriously overestimate the political intelligence of the people in this country. Not to say 0% were those people, but if we’re talking millions I think we’re talking about typical ignorance.
I think the vast majority vote D for social issues, but once their pocketbook gets hurt it’s time to sit it out or worse “punish” the party in power by voting for the opposition. :(
Good, these poor poor billionaires need more. I mean it’s a goddamn travesty they aren’t trillionares!
Geez people how fucking greedy do you need to be to accept a paycheck from these people when working for them? Can’t you just be charitable for once and help them become decillionares?
I swear we’re so greedy.
It wasn’t even exactly that. It was MILLIONS of people who voted Democrat previously just sitting this one out. I don’t think there are 15 Million “Gaza or bust” voters so this was just pure ignorance…
“Trump is horrible, but the Democrats made inflation. I’m not voting for either.” (Conveniently forgetting COVID and the necessary cash injection that helped keep people paying bills on time and kept businesses afloat to be there to rehire when lockdowns ended.) Ignorance…
Not that it was perfectly executed by any stretch of the imagination, but the alternative was everyone “non-essential” goes broke and businesses everywhere collapse. There was no world where we just didn’t do lockdowns, we don’t have the luxury of hindsight when something new happens obviously. We probably didn’t need the lockdowns because COVID spread regardless :(
I wouldn’t expect anything from anyone at this point. I expect essentially radio silence until Trump takes over.
I did, but I don’t care anymore.
…I’ll see myself out. :P
In all seriousness I just don’t know if I have it in me to keep paying attention to a trainwreck that I have no control over. I can only help my local community in some limited manner, anything outside of that all I can do is vote and yell at a “representative” that is bribed to not listen.
