The comment collapse feature seems to work very inconsistently. Where should you be tapping or how in order to collapse a comment thread?

No idea about this particular girl, but there’s plenty of authentic disorders that can cause childhood dementia:

• Niemann-Pick Disease Type C, GM1 and GM2 Gangliosidosis (Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff Disease)
• Leukodystrophies (such as Metachromatic Leukodystrophy and Krabbe Disease)
• Mitochondrial Disorders (such as Leigh syndrome)
• Rett Syndrome

This genuinely felt like a weird scam to me. I had no idea it existed, but apparently there’s a whole host of childhood conditions that can cause childhood dementia.

That’s very upsetting.

It’s baffling to me that someone in Ukraine could watch Russia for the last 15 years and think, “Yeah, I want to help them.”

While it can’t “know” its own confidence level, it can distinguish between general knowledge (12” in 1’) and specialized knowledge that requires supporting sources.

At one point, I had a chatGPT memory designed for it to automatically provide sources for specialized knowledge and it did a pretty good job.

They almost certainly will. That blue is a prestige feature for a lot of people.

I don’t really care, so long as I can easily send texts and pictures back and forth, I’ll be happy.

They can and do attack Russian territory with their own weapons. When they use American weapons, they come with the provision that they must be used on targets in occupied Ukrainian territory.

This is still a stupid position, but no one is telling Ukraine what to do with their own stuff.

Having sustained some moderate injuries throughout my life, I’m confident they didn’t even know what happened, it was just lights out.

Even with serious injuries it can take surprisingly long for the pain to really ramp up. Something that fast, they probably didn’t even have time to be scared much less experience physical discomfort.
