Going to a burger joint in Buffalo tonight (seeing Neko Case tonight!) and they have great vegan burger options and vegan shakes. Not sure what I’ll have quite yet but tons of options.

It’s health care so obviously we were told that we’d have to be vaccinated against COVID or be fired, like many. Most people went along with it, but the CEO sent out a final warning email to the whole network, and this antivax dingdong somehow managed to reply all to the CEO giving him a patronizing lecture about how COVID wasn’t real, how nobody had died of it, and how he had read several patient charts that proved this, and how the CEO was making a very big mistake, and how he, this clerk, knew science better than the CEO did. He was fired for reading patient charts he didn’t belong in, of course. The email was super patronizing and he claimed to have an M.Sc and that meant he knew better, despite the fact he was working as a clerk, and gave all sorts of false “evidence”.

Anyway he was fired and reply all to the CEO is disabled.

That was exactly it. I understand being self conscious for something but after a few hours surely we could have talked about something else.

He kept talking on the phone before the date about how short he was. I assured him it was ok. He really was very short in person but I’m not bothered by that kind of thing, but the way he kept talking about how he was shorter than me (and I’m short) through the whole date just made it so pointless and self centered. When he asked me out again I said I had met someone else and it was getting serious just to avoid going through that again. He didn’t attempt to get to know me at all, so what was the point?

That was really nice of you though.

I’d also take older kids.

Wish I had someone who wanted to do foster parenting with me.

I bus to work, it takes only five minutes more than me driving, and is only five dollars a day, and I get to read or listen to podcasts or whatever and not think about traffic or bad drivers. The only downside is obnoxious passengers on occasion and people who smell bad. I don’t love driving at all.

The shopping! You can’t beat prices at a department store on clothing on a long weekend with a coupon for 25% off everything. I don’t bother clothes shopping in Canada at all, I save my US cash and go on Black Saturday, where the prices are pretty much as good as Black Friday and not as crazy, or on Memorial Day weekend and come away with reams of clothes and shoes for under 500 dollars. And somehow they always have your size,unlike Canadian stores which tend to be picked over as hell, and I’ve never had to have pants shortened from the US. I like clothes shopping a whole lot.

Being well off enough and free of my money problems so that I could quit my night job and devote my free time to helping my friends. I’d also like to have a life where I could become a foster parent because I think I’d be good at that and help families well.

Books.

No idea. I don’t think I have an accent but people who aren’t Canadian think I do.

Interestingly my friend’s sister moved with her twins to Australia when they were 5, and when they returned one has an Australian accent and the other does not.

Two hours is my maximum unless I’m going to stay the weekend. I went to a New Pornographers show where people had flown in from Chicago to. Toronto and driven four hours from Michigan to see them. This was right between Delta and Omicron so I think people were super eager to go to anything at all, but I was surprised.

I switched from YouTube Music to Deezer. I like it!
