Lenovo definitely deserves to be banned after that shit they pulled with the malicious root certificates.

That same description applies to downloading a zipped file.
And at this point it’s also code for ‘machine learning’.
Which really is just fancy statistics. Sometimes it’s barely more advanced than plain regression.
Reminds me of the time I did roughly the same thing trying to get people to move away from internet explorer.
Heck if accelerating to Mach 19 in about 2 meters is acceptable you could just disable the rotors and only experience an acceleration of less than Mach 1 in just a few meters.
I’m surprised you got tired of the stupid decisions if I’m honest.
I wasn’t aware the characters were making any.
Education has really failed to impress upon people the importance of asking questions. It’s amazing how much time is wasted on making people learn answers to questions they don’t even know how to ask.
Please tell me someone thought about a switch to take them offline.
Technically he was 19. Also under Dutch law the term rape would imply the use of force, which was either not the case or not considered proven hence why the sentence ended up being lowered.
Still awful. Just trying to get the fact straight so people can judge for themselves.
If you think it has potential I’d say give the LNs a try.
At this stage you’ll stand a better chance of enjoying the story by reading the LNs. So far the anime is mostly leaving stuff out without adding much to compensate. I’m only sticking around in the hopes production quality somehow picks up again.
Edit: The manga could also be worth a try, the art is a lot better.
Yeah it’s not a good adaptation. The MC’s motivations come across a lot better in the LNs.
And yeah those shadows are freaking weird.
Possibly, but as long as they are not completely server-side (which they can’t be, they want to target people) then they are fighting on hostile ground.
Of course there are attempts to lock down PCs so that ad companies can tell it what to do (probably with some DRM argument), but we’re not there yet.
Well the upside is that they’re not actually trying to get it to stop, they’re just making an effort to please their customers.
That doesn’t sound like much of a change from the situation right now.
Huh mangakas must be paid better than I thought.
Maybe some idiot shot straight up into the air?
At some point even the pope disagreed. Or well, one of them did. It was complicated.
It’ll be a rather unpleasant death I might add. Plan accordingly.
It always annoys me when I see something that boils down to ‘nth order derivative flips sign’ where it’s unclear what order derivative the article is even talking about.
To be clear this is a change in the direction of the trend of the month over month inflation index. So we’re talking about some third order derivative changing sign. Which frankly is about to be expected, at that point any signal is going to be noisy.
The more down to earth statement is that the month over month inflation was very high and has now stabilized somewhat at around 4.5%ish which is still high (works out to about 70% yearly). It needs to be about a tenth of that.
Note that the decrease in the month over month inflation is not a sign of things improving. It is a sign of things getting worse at a slightly lower rate than earlier. That’s what annoys me about using such high order derivatives, it obscures the real problem.
Roughly speaking this article is discussing how far someone has pressed the gas pedal while heading towards a cliff, while the real problem is that they’re pressing the gas pedal (or more urgently they’re heading towards a cliff). Of course that last fact hasn’t changed so they manufacture a news story out of it by finding a derivative that did.
Depriving Russia of nuclear scientists, or capable people in general, might well be worth whatever wages they brought home.
If you want to bring the inter-european war into it I’m not sure if we can afford to be unpragmatic about this. By all accounts letting Russia bleed manpower in exchange for some small wages is well worth it. If you want to deprive them of money you really need to strike at their ability to export gas and oil at inflated prices. Advancing knowledge about fusion aids that goal, though the effects are likely (hopefully?) too late to matter.
