This is most likely the preferred language setting on your account. By default, it’s set to unspecified. If you change it, then everything with a different, or unspecified language is filtered out. Since the majority of content on lemmy has an unspecified language, you’d be missing out on most content.

I implemented collapsible comment chains in v0.2.1 which should be out within the next day or two. I added settings as well to choose between (tap|swipe|both|disabled) for the feature. I’ve been testing it for a few days and it seems to be working great.

I’m also working on a feature to automatically collapse low score chains when opening a post, though that needs some work and likely won’t be included in this next release.

Yes, I’ll definitely add that option in. I actually broke a few things with the compact cells while working on some performance optimization yesterday, so I have some work to do on those anyway. I was also planning to add a medium cell option as well.

For Imgur on mobile you can actually get the full quality image url by doing as you said, with one extra step:

• request desktop site
• tap image (opens full quality image)
• long press image -> Copy Link

This will provide a direct link to the full quality jpg/png rather than the low quality webp

Oh wow, I thought this was a bug in the Lemmy api. I was implementing comments paging in my app the other day and noticed it would just infinity load pages with duplicate comments. I guess I should have tested with another instance before disabling the feature.

I have the same issue with link previews not showing the lemmy.world icon in the app I’m working on. I use the Google api for fetching FavIcons in my app, and all other instances are working fine. I know lemmy.world icons were working in the last couple of days, so it’s likely something to do with the last 2 updates. It’s returning a 404 now, and I don’t actually see any favicons listed in the HTML head anymore.

I believe they just added TopHour, TopSixHour, TopTwelveHour in version 0.18 but I don’t think they are implemented yet, because I have not been able to get them to work properly while testing in my app.
