Still works across the Hudson here in Jersey lol. They put in token based view limit I’m assuming based on what the library/City pays. $2 a view is crazy/bad value, makes me wonder what my library is paying 🤔

That article is from 2019 and Kanopy is still around, I guess that’s a good sign 🤷🏻 lol
Exactly! Also “Kanopy” is a movie/TV Show app that works off your library cards. I’m just pointing out that people sleep on all the things having a library card offers today, it’s not just books. Free digital books, audio books, movies, shows, printing papers, activities for kids, classes for adults, some even have 3D printers etc.
Go get a Library Card people.
Magic Earth is a decent alt for navigation.
Can anyone here legit write a list for that for me please (◕‿◕)?
Three days tops.
Afaik the USA does not release official statistics for this because individual police precincts refuse to cooperate.
I didn’t mean the show “drags” as in gets boring, but that the show seemed like “a drag” as in joyless and dire in tone. I got a good bit of stress in my life at the moment and AoT didn’t seem like what I need right now, I’m sure it’s great and I’ll get to it eventually.
Where I really enjoyed “Chainsaw Man” because it has serious bits where characters die and tragic backstories are revealed but, the main characters only motivation at one point is to touch someone’s boobs. I can appreciate the meta commentary and themes the creater is trying to get across but, there’s also a scene where someone gets kicked in the nuts repeatedly.
One of my favorite Comics is “Sex Criminals” so I’m a fan I guess lol.
They weren’t just threats, there where riots all over the country.
This is worth repeating on basically all things political, social, financial, etc.
There is no “_____” War, there is only a Class War.
Cops also have to deal with insurance companies 🤷🏻
I’ve never seen pex running into a house from the street/ground. It’s always been copper up to the water meter at the very least and it’s code (in NJ at least) to put grounding wire there.
That’s absolutely a factor but it’s also all the issues that are popping up regarding build quality.
That stuff was always there. It’s all Elong, customers accepted the poor quality to buy an electric car and save the environment. But now there are many better options and Elong is just insulting that very same customer base so he can be an edgelord because he… IDK is sad inside or what ever dumb reason he does what he does.
Well that’s my point lol. Renting out apartments isn’t inherently evil, just like owning a business isn’t inherently evil. If I charge a reasonable rent, then owning 2+ million in assets doesn’t automatically make me a bad person.
So let’s say I bought an apartment building and now it’s worth 2+ million, what should I do to make amends for my situation?
If you want to say that about billionaires that’s one thing but by that logic wouldn’t many people with a small a business or trying to retire be considered “bad”.
Ok, I was wrong, I didn’t know about all the boats and the second company/charity.
The Forbes thing is just an educated guess though. And are you saying anyone with 2 million dollars or anyone with 2m in assets is automatically a bad person?
I think people here are taking OPs question a little bit to seriously and Kevin Smith is 100% a valid answer. The question was about someone you “liked” and don’t “like” now. Not, who turned out to be a horrible person.
Kevin Smith hasn’t done anything controversial and genuinely seems like a nice man enjoying life and good for him. But, artisticly his movies have fallen off considerably in my opinion and lack any effort/message. Personality wise he’s also made a major shift. Previously being more thoughtful and critical of things to now kind of just gone full “happy stoner shill”.
As someone who grew up in 90s New Jersey Kevin Smiths and his early work will always hold a special place in my heart but I’ll probably never watch anything new he’ll ever make the rest of my life.
Patrick (H) Willems actually did a great video essay on basically this exact subject that’s worth a watch lol
