I think it’s important to question the idea that the US has “always rejected fanaticism”. Sure, our state doesn’t want to be viewed that way. I just think that looking at our history shows a lot of fanatic shit, from the way settlers treated the native population, to all of our conflicts in the 1900’s to now.

A lot is going to vary depending on the exact game you play, strategies and game mechanics can be super different. The best way is to find a character that you really like and focus on having a good time. It’s a genre built off of learning from failure, so you’ve got to try your moves in different situations and see what works. You can practice moves against bots to find what situations they work well in, and plenty of people post combos you can learn online. Just gotta lose a lot.

Any UBI system worth it’s salt wouldn’t be providing a flat amount, it should be based on regional cost of living. So if prices all went up, UBI would have to go up as well.
Danganronpa, honestly any of them. Once you know the story, who the killers are, and the twists, it quickly loses it’s charm. The only way afterwards is to watch other people play it for the first time.

I think you’ll miss out on a lot of great games thinking that way! Sometimes needing to commit time into a game is where a lot of the value comes from in its experience, and persona is one of those series.
