He’s just talking about about his 1000hp, lifted, Ford Excursion, named River Horse, that he recently rolled. Besides the crippling medical debt, everything is fine.

You definitely explained a lot, thanks.
Jeredin@lemm.eeto Ukraine@sopuli.xyz•Russian soldier takes propagandists' advice and sacrifices himself after getting hit by drone dropped munitions.62·11 months agoI haven’t checked, but are Ukrainians taking hostages at this point? Like, if he laid down arms and surrendered, would Ukraine take him in? I know they were at one point and I also know is can be very dangerous to claim surrendered soldiers too, depending on the context.
Agreed and I wonder if this isn’t a job that an AI might be able to help with: reading all the papers and at the very least, looking for key research subjects to compile for readers?

J/k but I like to pretend to kick the air as if I’m kicking a door open/down. I get looks, and I’m okay with that.
Except for philosophers of physics…they tend to look, relatively stable.
Jeredin@lemm.eeOPto science@lemmy.world•Scientists closer to finding quantum gravity theory after measuring gravity on microscopic level (research paper near the bottom)1·1 year agoNo more impossible than any other precise quantum measurement. But that doesn’t have to be the goal post; indirectly making measurements, even on atoms worth of mass helps. Every time we change the setup, the mass, the temperature, the measurements, we can learn something new. Cast enough shadows from different angles and you’ll be able to model what’s casting the shadow. If you study condensed matter physics you’ll quickly learn there’s a lot to be learned and gained from indirect quantum measurements.
As far as I can tell, it’s a purple state. The right republican would have to come along to pull moderates/libertarians in the state and Trump will only lose the state again - he talked a lot of shit about John McCain; that’s not going to go well. Don’t get me wrong, every state has it’s Trump cultists, but there’s just not enough.

Jeredin@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•Researchers confirm what we already knew: Google results really are getting worseEnglish1·1 year agoThe issue I have is that so many users are uneducated and read some disinformation, take it as truth and then vote accordingly. I don’t want to see certain things but I go out of my way to use multiple sources that are as unbiased as possible. But so many consume extremely biased propaganda and live according to that constructed view that they think is reality. I know there’s no easy answer, but the problem is clear and so long as the rich can easily take advantage of the useful idiots, it’s a struggle for progress in society…
Jeredin@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•Researchers confirm what we already knew: Google results really are getting worseEnglish361·1 year agoI love science, like experimentally observed science or at least practical theoretical science, but Youtube tries to shove every crackpot nonsense they can at me. I watch one political thing and now they try and shove every conservative propaganda they can at me. It feels like when I was young, the internet was too much for conservitives to understand and control…not anymore. What’s the one true power conservatives have? Money. Now they’re ether buying up social companies or their CEOs left right and center - or at least bringing tech leadership into the ultra-rich fold. Where they are winning without exception, is in isolating the majority of their voters. Now, there’s no longer a shared reality and the divide seems to wide to close. Conservatives wanted brainwashed cult followers and did everything they could to make it happen. Now Idiocy seems far more real on the right with each passing year.

Unless someone is willing to check multiple sources that aren’t politically bias, they’re practically political pawns. I’m getting up therein age and it’s insane how different, how polarized people are from just 40 years ago - many people are just simply not living in the same reality…
