Also, alcohol generally makes someone tell the truth, so I’m guessing his only remorse is I got caught.
Using republican logic, God hates the border patrol.
No dates. He is still on the loose.
Otakulad@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Ukraine lowers its conscription age to 25 to plug a shortfall in troop numbers fighting RussiaEnglish104·1 year agoI completely disagree. Russia should receive nothing for what they have done.
Imagine this, Russia decides that Alaska is theirs even though it was sold to the U.S. in 1867. They invade and make it half way into the state. Should the U.S. have peace talks with Russia and say you can have half the state or keep fighting and push them completely out? I guessing most Americans would say F off Russia, get out of our country.
Russia leaving Ukraine is the only justifiable outcome from this invasion. If a child breaks his siblings toy maliciously, you don’t reward them for doing a bad thing. You punish that child for their actions. Putin is nothing more than a spoiled child, you shouldn’t reward him for his bad behavior.
Otakulad@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Ukraine lowers its conscription age to 25 to plug a shortfall in troop numbers fighting RussiaEnglish123·1 year agoJust curious, what do you think should be on the table at the peace talks?
For me, it should be the following:
Russia leaves Ukraine including Crimea and vows to never invade again. I know it didn’t work when Ukraine gave up their nukes for the same vow but one can hope.
Russia pays Ukraine back for all the damage it has done. They were the aggressors, they need to pay up.
All prisoners who were taken to Russia, including children, are to be returned.
No interference if Ukraine wants to join NATO and the EU.
I’m not an expert in peace talks, but I feel the above is fair.
Otakulad@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Sweden officially joins NATO, ending decades of post-World War II neutralityEnglish11·1 year agoNo, it’s not. Calling out what someone is does not meet the definition. Additionally, you said I did three things in my comment, most of which were false.
Otakulad@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Sweden officially joins NATO, ending decades of post-World War II neutralityEnglish4·1 year agoYeah, no. Your interpretation is incorrect in my opinion.
Yes, it was a baby account. Only 6 hours old. The icon next to their name is a baby. How can you punish me for something the site does as well?
Also, the English the person used did not sound like it was English as a first language.
Lastly, let’s take a look at your verbiage.
Perjorative: expressing contempt or disapproval
Calling a person a paid Russian sympathizer does not meet this definition. He was acting as if Russia is the victim in this story. I was saying what he was.
I would appreciate if when reports are made, they are actually looked at and not blindly removed.
Otakulad@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Sweden officially joins NATO, ending decades of post-World War II neutralityEnglish3·1 year agoFine, I accept that, but what exactly did I say that caused the post to be removed? All I said was he was probably a paid posted. How is that not being civil?

You have no link to a source in the thread I was replying to.

Anyone who looks at the things Putin has done in the last two years and thinks that NATO is worse is the one who is insane.

And if not paid, I would say a Putin fan, someone being threatened by the Russian government, or just a troll. Take your pick. All are possible.

Now it is Lemmy daily.
He looks like Neil Breen and treats people like Neil’s movies. Terrible.

Also, this may not be for home use but companies that need to store data for years.

And the cloud is no longer cheapEnglish7·2 years agoI have a cab company in my city (near Chicago) that you can order it online or in the app for now or in the future and it is cheaper than Lyft/Uber. No hailing a cab like back in the old days.
As someone else pointed out, it was a justified lawsuit. Additionally, they were told the coffee was too hot and should lower the temperature and they refused.
The woman had to sue, and only asked for her medical bills to be paid, around $18k. Again, McDonald’s refused. They then hired people to act like this was an attack, when they knew they were wrong.
It was the jury who decided that $2 million was what the woman was owed. Also, I heard that was 2 days of hamburger sales. The fact McDonald’s is still around makes me think they recovered.
