1 year agoRCS is pretty much implemented by all the major EU carriers.
We still use WhatsApp and Telegram though. We are not as backward as the US folks in that regards.

Amazing! While here, I have a suggestion to make in regards to monetization: I was a Reddit Pro/Ultra user. I am now a “Pro” user on Lemmy aka “Remove Ads”. Let’s assume I stick to Lemmy for a year or so and eventually decide to go for Ultra because of whatever reasons. Because Ultra already includes the “Remove Ads”, would not it make sense to have an alternative upgrade path from “Remove Ads” to Ultra with the adjusted cost?

15 euros is not “this sort of money”. But I did donate to Mozilla! :) And I am planning to donate to my instance owner as well.
I’d say for Estonia it’s too expensive. I got it for 15 though.
I got it for 15. Is it expensive for ad removal? Yes. Is it too expensive? No, for me personally no. I wanted to support the dev and I did it. Also It’s the only app I am going to use until Lemmy is no more.

Probably because you said it was a subscribtion and it is not. It is a separate from ultra.
No idea what you are talking about.
Both SMS and RCS are free.
Also, when data is so cheap it makes no sense to use SMS. It’s 30 euros per months for unlimited data where I am currently located at.
You guys also have that green/blue bubble mania thingy, where you pretty much dehumanize anyone using non apple device in chats.
