I can only imagine there must be some site out there that detects text for censorship. Seems ridiculous to me.
If you build it, they will come. (i.e. just keep posting)
Lemmy is still small enough that even the most obscure communities will show up on the All feed, which it seems is how a lot of people browse. If you post to your small community, especially during non peak hours, some people will see it.
(But no, I am unfortunately 100% human)
That just sounds like some lazy scientists trying to get out of work.
What a stand-up guy.
Yes, I’ve used this one before:
My guess is that as the need for housing has increased (population growth, short term rentals taking up supply, etc), we haven’t been building the right kind of homes to fill the void.
Nobody is out there using land to build “starter homes”. It’s either large, expensive houses or apartment complexes, so the demand for home ownership is high, but the ones available to buy aren’t cheap.
It would be like if nobody made affordable cars, so most drivers were stuck either leasing or saving up for a Lamborghini. (Hyperbole, but you get the idea)
What if Bulbasaur was wearing heelys?
I use both and have been gravitating more toward Lichess lately. Once you get used to the UI, it’s really nice.
Ah, I assumed the creator took it down because it was inaccessible when I tried the other day! Time to re-bookmark.
I also have a puzzle problem… Lol
Ugh, I still haven’t even hit that. I’m 1400-something in Daily games (my primary time control), but my Rapid and Blitz lag way behind.
God, all over. You name it, and I’ve probably found content there. Random stuff from my Google recommendations, topic searches, reddit (rarely), Twitter/X, Tumblr, imgur, memes my wife sends me, YouTube (some people actually post memes there), etc.
Pretty much anytime I see something that makes me laugh or I think Lemmy would enjoy, I add it to my (now massive) vault of memes and images.
And if I’m feeling inspired (or bored), I’ll sometimes make my own.
I mostly post from my phone, using the Voyager app. You can star a handful of communities as favorites and keep them at the top of your list, so it doesn’t take a lot of scrolling to find the right one.
Do that a few thousand times over the past year or so, and you get pretty fast at it!
I would totally use a retro style beige case for my next build…
