I delayed it for maybe 10 years after they first started asking if I wanted to get them removed, then finally decided it was time about a year or two ago. The recovery sucked for a couple of days, but I don’t remember my bill being exceptionally bad (I think my insurance paid quite a bit though).
Don’t worry, you’ll learn your lesson before next time. Surely.
Because he’s very important.
It’s the social media equivalent of supporting a bunch of Mom and Pop shops (or opening your own!) vs some hyper-sanitized, corporate monstrosity like Wal-Mart.
Determine if the relationship is having a negative impact on you, then either 1) assess why it’s hurting you and if there’s anything to adjust about how you’re processing it, or 2) protect your mental health by setting up the boundaries that you need, cutting off as a last resort.
Be cautious about asking this online though. People are tribal about politics and have zero investment in your IRL relationships, so you may see lots of rationalizing of cutting off a lifelong friend, family member, spouse, etc without much nuance. Only you have the proper perspective to determine what you’d be sacrificing and if it’s a net positive.
My wife is the culprit in our house. Should I get her screened…?
Ha, you are very right. I’ve slightly edited the title to fix this.
I’m seeing very simple grammatical mistakes in articles more and more. It’s bizarre. Even if the author makes a mistake, where are the editors? Do we have a shortage of English majors somehow?
Of course! Why, what have you been reading?
I bet you excelled in your Literature classes.
And I still haven’t seen it somehow…
My kids are almost the right age to watch it at this point, so I’ll just wait until then.
It’s lies all the way down…
Odds are that one of these two things will be the highlight of your day today.
(Good luck and congrats!)
Aw, that’s adorable.
Part of it seems to stem from people’s excitement to infodump about how federated social media works.
That’s relevant and interesting to learn about, but the average person just needs to hear “make and account here and start browsing memes” first.
This is all the context that “know your meme” gives:
The photo was taken in early 2015 by Camera Shy, a professional photography service based in Utah that specializes in family portraits. The image first appeared online when Camera Shy posted it to their Facebook[1] page on March 14th, 2015, with the caption “And sometimes bunny sessions go like this…” (shown below, left).
On March 16th, Imgur[2] user RockiesInOctober posted the photo with the caption, “My kids during our family pictures this past weekend.” Later that day, they linked that image to the Reddit community /r/photoshopbattles.[3] As of 2021, the post received more than 3,000 upvotes, and multiple users created altered versions of the image in the following years (examples seen below, center and right).
Good luck!

This has been my experience too. And then once one side does something in response to what was covered in their bubble, the opposite side has no idea why and is completely befuddled by their behavior.
