I’m out of the loop on Reddit, but I was beyond a power user on there two years ago. Back then, if every human user on the site stopped using the site, the admins would not have noticed any difference because nearly every post was bot networks reposting old top posts and filling the comments with the exact comments from the last time it got upvoted.

Garbage website. I miss it for what it was capable of for a while there.

I’ve always had an obsession with maps, which as an adult has brought me to wanting to visit the “extremes” of the world. Far north, far south points of things. But I’m not the adventurous type so a lot of those places are just never going to happen. Nuuk has always been high on my list of places that would be neat, while not being impossible to get to comfortably.

Sounds pretty incredible. When I met my lost brother years back, we found out he was kind of an asshole.

Years ago, a buddy got me going to his gym so he could show me the ropes. He’d been lifting most of his life and I really trusted him. It was the sort of gym where people go to do serious work. A lifter’s lifting gym. Everyone there looked so serious and were pressing so much weight. I have never been that sort.

But they were all incredibly kind to me. Helped me when they thought I needed it. Never in a demeaning way. Any bad vibes I got from them was pretty much on me.

Those were really cool times. The gym would shut down about two years later and I haven’t really gone to a gym since.

The clutch is a third pedal to the left of the brake which lets you disengage the engine and transmission so you can change the gear then let the pedal out, engaging the new gear.

With a clutch, the brake pedal is usually really narrow. So when you get into an automatic instincts will tell you to press the clutch and change gears but that pedal doesn’t exist and the wide brake pedal is there instead. Instead of changing gears, you slam the brake.

I know there’s a big joke about furries running the IT world but I know a huge number of them in aviation, too.

She put out a video explaining that she sees the humor in all this but realizes that this picture is now a part of that, which is a bummer. I think it could go down as the least flattering picture of a person of all time. In said video, she looks lovely and clearly takes great care of herself.

Getting comfortable not owning your games?

I was once listening to The Pillows’ “I Think I Can” around a friend. Japanese band, lots of their songs are in English but you’d never know through the singer’s heavy Japanese accent. He repeats the titular line a lot in the song and my friend thought he was singing “I lick my cunt.”

That was 15 years ago and it’s still all I hear when I listen to the song.

When I was a kid, I never worried about owning a home. My parents couldn’t afford it, I assumed I wouldn’t either. Back then it was because I never thought I’d be successful. Now, it’s because it’s unattainable, even at the mild level of success I’ve achieved. What I have now would have been more than enough in my rural area 20 years ago.

From the looks of the crash test results, I might have to buy one of these to get in on the lawsuits that will come from those who are maimed in accidents with them.

I value my bones too much to bother doing that. But seriously, a lot of people are gonna get hurt.

I’m afraid it’s not so simple in my case. I live in the deep rural US. It’s not worth it in any aspect.
