Don’t most of the areas that end up hosting the Olympics end up spending more money than they bring in?
Los Angeles generated a profit last time they hosted the Olympics. They don’t spend like crazy on sports arenas or dorms because they already have them.
Last time LA had the Olympics it generated a profit. Even if it loses money LA has extracted a lot of federal money under Biden for the betterment of the city.
