Yeah but they’re fighting over the inevitable ad revenue.

Only in the context of data within the rust code. If you’re writing threaded rust that interfaces with external IO, for example, you can still get bit by a race condition. A person can absolutely be shit enough to hit a race condition in rust.
No. Everyone who doesn’t have money for him to grab is fucked.
That’s just eating at McDonald’s with … less steps.
I used to help with training sessions at a previous company. We had a computer lab type room, people would spend half a day in there and then I’d lock up after. There were two doors to two different parts of an access-controlled building, so the main door was a key lock, but the rear door was badge access.
I locked the main door, turned to leave through the rear door, saw that a lady had come back through the rear door to get her purse. No big, that’s the door we’re going through to leave anyway, so I move to follow her out.
I turn off the lights by muscle memory as I reach for the door which scares her. She lets out a yelp. I’m apologizing as I move to flick the lights back on
At that exact moment someone came through the front door with their key and saw us standing In close proximity, in a dark room with locked doors. I was already moving to turn the lights back on, so they flick on and we both look guilty as fuck because I’m an awkward IT guy trying to fast talk explain this isn’t what it looks like and she’s got “just got jump scared by this asshole” face.
The only thing that saved me was that I was friends with the HR manager that had just walked in, and about 40 years younger than the lady with the purse. I’m sure had it been any other of the women in the class I’d have been in an HR meeting.
Two other coworkers were caught getting it on in that room a few months later.
The same thing, from the Silmarillion:
The love of Finwë and Míriel was great and glad, for it began in the Blessed Realm in the Days of Bliss. But in the bearing of her son Míriel was consumed in spirit and body; and after his birth she yearned for release from the labour of living. And when she had named him, she said to Finwë: ‘Never again shall I bear child; for strength that would have nourished the life of many has gone forth into Fëanor.’
[They try to heal her and even the gods fail at it]
‘It is indeed unhappy,’ said Míriel, ‘and I would weep, if I were not so weary. But hold me blameless in this, and in all that may come after.’
She went then to the gardens of Lórien and lay down to sleep; but though she seemed to sleep, her spirit indeed departed from her body, and passed in silence to the halls of Mandos.
Translation: This little shit has sucked the life from my soul, peace out.
All these problems are solved by firing two M2’s in opposite directions, a net positive for everyone involved.
Start at 100% and work down from there?
Tax them enough that they don’t have the cash to just up and build their own personal-use nuclear powered, nation spanning infrastructure.
Use those taxes to build a nation spanning nuclear infrastructure that everyone can use.
Could be a turd wizard, in which case it’s both!
Because then the fraudsters end up with all the money, buy an e-news paper, or get a game show, and end up running for president. It’s not an excellent idea to let fraud run rampant on your society.
I can’t find the source, but at some point there were reports of a fridge with a WiFi module that would overheat and die if you blocked it at the router.

You think circuits are your friend? By the time I was old enough to convince my parents to buy me a soldering iron I was already a man.

Well, fuck you for that. I can taste the texture of your comment and I am quite unhappy about it.
Have you ever had cacahuates japoneses “Japanese peanuts”? They’re the opposite of that, I highly recommend them.
Chargebacks are a huge pain in the ass and everyone involved hates doing them. The chargeback fees are supposed to be a disincentive to curb the behavior. It’s mostly automated now, but there’s a whole “accusation/response/appeal” process that businesses need to actively participate in or risk just getting money clawed back Everytime a chargeback happens, regardless of reason. This causes friction between merchants and payment processors that sometimes leads to one dropping the other. Being in a business where chargebacks happen a lot requires a commensurate amount of work. They suck. (Yes, I’ve worked in this realm. Even when it’s all automated and works well, it still sucks).
They mostly hate them because people tend to do chargebacks when other people find out they made those purchases.
Or they do chargebacks in the wake of post nut clarity when they regret giving money to an OF.
It’s an acronym.
The S stands for “Scam”.
the rest stands for bullshit.
