I don’t know about front paws, but dogs definitely have less control over their hind legs. During agility training, my dog can easily lift one front paw at a time to jump over something, but she’ll never lift one hind leg at a time. She can do it, but not smoothly while running. I guess it’s similar with the way we can’t seperately control our pinky finger very well. If you move it, the ring finger wants to move as well.

My guess is as good as any, maybe it’s because tankies need someone to tank against. Can’t be a racist without other races around. Can’t be a misogynist with women around. Can’t be a transphobe without trans people around. Can’t be a .ml tankie without .world people around.

About the traffic, they (used to be or are they still?) the default instance on join-lemmy.org . Thats how a lot of people joined that instance and that’s how they have gained a lot of users and general communities. Maybe that has changed though, I really don’t care enough to actually check current metrics.

Conservatives are horrible. The Netherlands has had 14 years of Rutte. All public services have gone to shit in that time and it all costs a fortune. Now we have the far right to finish the public services once and for all.

Swimming lessons is really good. Should be mandatory imho. You can start at age 5-ish and you’ll be done in a year or so with the essentials.

If you want to go from London to Liverpool by train, it’ll cost you millions to build the rail and purchase a locomotive. Except it’ll actually only cost you a couple pounds for a ticket, because all that infrastructure is allready in place. Because generations before us invested in all that stuff to supply the mines and the factories.
