Would this affect systems booting to the refind bootloader without secure boot? Sorry for the ignorance just trying to figure out if I should be changing my system for this news.

Thank you! Changing the line to "rw root=/dev/nvme0n1p4 quiet splash"
did the trick. Your actually said /dev/nvme1n1p2 so I know enough about partitions that I changed mine to dev/nvme0n1p4 to fit my case. I only know that much about it because I’m running a duel booted system and had to deal with partitioning when I set it up. Your right to point out that I’m a bit over my head when using refind, but I changed it instead of using grub because I like the customization with themes and I read somewhere that it could help with windows updates messing up duel booted systems.
edit: I’m now having a new problem where it’s not using the boot splash screen that I specified in the settings. It just the oem logo with a kubuntu logo under it. At least I’ve made some progress 😂
Sorry about that, I edited the comment to a pastebin link. Okay here is my /boot/refind_linux.conf file:
"Boot with standard options" "ro root=UUID=96e2ea68-742d-4309-ae9f-4d12ba668b21" "Boot to single-user mode" "ro root=UUID=96e2ea68-742d-4309-ae9f-4d12ba668b21 single" "Boot with minimal options" "ro root=/dev/nvme0n1p4"
Should I just edit the boot standard to "rw root=/dev/nvme0n1p4"
edit: tried that change and it did nothing
Here is my /boot/efi/EFI/refind/refind.conf file. I’ve only ever added the theme line at the very end. As a new linux user editing this scares me so any help from anyone editing this so that plymouth will work would be appreciated.

This YouTuber sucks. His framing on his videos is untrustworthy. How he has covered homelessness and drug abuse is enough for me to never trust anything he posts. https://youtu.be/o6dAkkqE5XE
It shows how much people are fueled by culture war nonsense in rural Oregon. I lived in one of the counties that voted to join Idaho and I never heard a single reason from anybody that was reasonable. It was all based on far right talking points about transing the kids or taking the guns. Meanwhile stuff like minimum wage that would actually affect everyone was just ignored.
What they said. It patches the official Spotify app to give you premium features such as no ads and infinite skips. Only thing it doesn’t have is downloads.
This is what I use. The only downside is no downloading. Otherwise it’s saved me money.
An anonymous source tells Radio Free Asia. All the articles about this site that source and sorry but not sure a US funded news org specifically made to put out stories like this is the best source of info.
Very dumb rebrand. I like all the trashy TLC content don’t get me wrong, but changing the name was completely unnecessary.
Oh no! Anyways…
This is what the meme is referring to I believe. Over a year ago this happened.

Jebora wouldn’t launch on my phone the first time I tried it a couple weeks ago. Downloaded it again today and now it’s my default over Liftoff (which is still a great app). It just gives me the Sync feel. But nothing can beat the real thing so can’t wait.
Register for the email list. You’ll at least know when it launches right away.
The world is ending but at least I can post about it
“We blocked the port in order to stop the use of fossil fuels that are killing innocent people,” she said. “The real crimes continue inside the gate of the port. We are not going to sit and wait while the fossil fuel industry takes our dreams away from us.” Asked if she’s worried about the consequences of the trial, she replied: “I personally am more worried about the horrible harm the fossil fuel industry is doing to the world.” “I’m not going to stop while they are threatening the planet.”
Much of the oil and gas industry says that continued production is necessary in order to meet global energy demands. Cutting oil and gas production would be “dangerous and irresponsible”, the head of energy company Shell told BBC News. The International Energy Agency has said that there can be no new investments in oil, gas and coal now if governments are serious about the climate crisis. UN chief António Guterres recently said investment in new oil and gas production was “economic and moral madness”. This week the world experienced its hottest day on record on Tuesday, topping 17C for the first time.
Our world burns and people suffer so that oil companies can turn a profit. The few are making decisions that will have disasterous effects on the many in the not too distant future.
Insane. By this logic you could easily argue that nuking the US is the best way towards world peace. Doesn’t sound so good when it’s you who gets killed.
