The issue I have with Hoopla is that you can’t read on an ereader as far as I can tell. You need to read books through their app on your phone. I much prefer e-ink so I avoid Hoopla if I can

If you’re good at math and good at explaining math, then statistics/analytics is a good way to go. You’ll probably need a degree though.

Pharma/medical device companies, especially in new development need people to run the numbers from their experiments and then communicate to the higher ups and the business people “what do those numbers mean?”

Consulting for new drug development can be stressful, but it’s interesting as you’re constantly learning about new treatments and therapies.

Any stats/analytics field should be similar. All of the business grads know that numbers and data are important, but they need someone to interpret them and explain to them what they are seeing.

It’s very possible to defeat the dragon. I can do it pretty regularly after a day of heavy playing. Getting the achievements is tougher. And I still haven’t gotten a clean wipe yet (I’ve been 1 tile away twice though)

It’s insane. And any attempt to argue against it is shut down immediately. It’s so easy to follow and understand how the world could be better if those people didn’t exist. But anyone I try talking to says “oh I’m not going to read all that” or “scrolling through that will take too long” …which is exactly the fucking point. And this is from 4 years ago! Their wealth has only increased while our buying power has gone down.

He thought a “horse bath” was just a quick rinse off in the sink. He was inadvertently teaching ESL elementary school kids the phrase “whore’s bath” which, while it is technically just a quick rinse in the sink, there is definitely different connotation.

Agreed. We seemed somewhat close with Bernie, but we saw how that ended. But he had support, and he could’ve held more power over the DNC if he had refused to endorse Hilary without MAJOR concessions from the party.

But that could’ve ended with Trump winning in 2016, and nobody wanted that, so he sold out his values and toed the party line. Didn’t seem to work out.

I think you’ve hit on major common ground, that all people should be able to see. The extremely wealthy have too much power and they are an extreme minority. Until someone, or a coalition of people stand up for that single issue and are willing to vocally withhold support from mainstream Dems, this problem will never be addressed in the US

I did vote blue even though I wasn’t happy about it and it mainly came down to ‘i really haven’t done much to express my distaste over the past 8 years, why am I choosing to protest the Dems today?’

But I do think this is a turning point for me. I want to be having these conversations more often, I want to be more involved, and I want to make it known to the people in charge: what can they do to earn my vote. I think starting to define what are the universal ideals we can agree on is a great conversation to have over the next few weeks.

Have you thought of trying to pick up another language? Started learning Spanish 4 years ago and now I can go on vacation and have conversations with locals. Also, I’m more interested in their local history because I can read it/listen to it in Spanish and practice the language at the same time.
