It’s well known the Israeli government moved troops to the west bank to help settlers and many Israeli allies warned of chatter of an impending attack.
Here’s one story but it’s behind a paywall: https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2023-11-20/ty-article-magazine/.premium/the-women-soldiers-who-warned-of-a-pending-hamas-attack-and-were-ignored/0000018b-ed76-d4f0-affb-eff740150000
Also Israel has delivered cash to hamas to prop them up to justify further violence against Palestinians: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/10/world/middleeast/israel-qatar-money-prop-up-hamas.html
You understand there is no such thing as a median voter. They are only issues and most voters have one or two issues they won’t compromise on. Biden is alienating younger and Muslim voters. If Biden was converting 1+ Trump voter for every voter he loses, you might have a point. But there is no evidence he is netting votes from this. That makes no sense in an election that’s fighting against authoritarianism.
Why can’t we agree Biden that needs to go all out to win this thing?
Worthy and unworthy voters…
Normally Biden wouldn’t have much incentive to listen to millions of his voters during an election year?
DC brainrot has entered the chat.
But Israel has always pushed the envelope and always been rewarded from daddy USA. Netanyahu, thinks he can do what he wants and he’s never been wrong.
Yes, Biden should communicate to independents how he can solve the problem.
Regular voters hear headlines like “Millions Illegally Crossed” and “Undocumented Crime Wave”; they naturally blame Biden because he’s an incumbent. The recent Gallup polls are alarming.
Biden should have focused American businesses that hired illegals, not punishing migrants for wanting a better life. Trump along with many GOP donors have hired illegals in the past, go after them and you win the debate.
You can’t negotiate with a cult leader and his cult.
Tax payers aren’t the customers. Intuit is the customer here and they are buying income streams from politicians. It’s an artificial and unnecessary system.
What? Read all the thread. Of course he cares. Israel gets $1000s per person with these big US aid packages and that post I replied to tried to argue that doesn’t matter.
Bibi was elected as Mr. Security and Israelis are pissed because he allowed the biggest terror attack under his watch. I’m not saying Israel will fundamentally change, but it’s very normal for voters to dump ineffective leaders and Bibi is bad for the security of Israel.
Warmonger Bibi doesn’t care about tens of billions in military aid to a country of less than 10 million? Get the fuck out of here.
Biden could have stopped this conflict and got all the hostages released back in October if he temporarily withheld arms from Bibi. But he’d rather infantilize Israel with his bear hug policy. He can’t fathom it’s a government of ultra right individuals assembled to protect Bibi from corruption charges.
I heard from a bigger streamer. But I started believing it because feeds degrade lot more than YT. I constantly get connection issues more than any other streaming site.
I’m vested in some of these smaller streamers, so I don’t want them to lose their income. It feels like twitch is exploiting this sentiment because I’m not alone.
Twitch is run like a private equity acquisition. The rates they are forced to pay their parent company, Amazon, are above market value. Twitch’s services will get worse and worse for both streamers and viewers until all the equity is sucked dry. Late stage capitalism y’all.
Nah, the only unsubstainable welfare in a liberal democracy is welfare for the donor class.
Misinformation works though. Antivaxer are rentlenless and they are always releasing studies to prove their lies. Combine that with social media algorithms that love controversy and this shit gets deadly.
To put it in perspective, the USA could easily have more people die of covid this year than fentanyl ODs but everyone is acting like the battle is over.
Coalition governments are totally different than a two party system in the USA. There are over a dozen parties with in Israel, Netenyahu needed to form a coalition with ultra-nationalist to win. Each of these parties have to be kept happy else the coalition falls apart.
The LinkedIn employees on Blind (an anonymous social media site for tech workers) are beyond pissed, no justification for this beyond greed.
I highly recommend this podcast. He does a great job of differentiating what the different authors say and what are his own opinions. And he adds corrections to the episode when listeners point out his mistakes. The French, Haitian, 1848, and Russian revolutions really changed how I see the world. Be warned, they can hit dozens of episodes each.
The American and English civil war are OK, not Duncan’s fault, it’s just the non Anglo revolutions were better material IMO.
