They can remove adblocks all they want.
Private DNS will still exist, there’s at least two that have noads DNS, Mullvad and LibreDNS.
They work in most browser’s/devices etc.
Migrant from fmhy, so starting afresh 🥲 🥲

You can try a private DNS, easy to set up in Android and blocks ads in most apps and browsers
Is a distinct possibility.
Even now I come across US sites which don’t work because they don’t want to have the whole GDPR compliance for EU members, which is usually overcome by a simple VPN to Canada/USA.
Funny thing about this is that the very people this is supposed to protect are probably far more tech savvy than the dinosaurs writing the legislation.
Torrent sites are blocked in UK by most isps , does it stop torrenting? No. And this wont work either it will just restrict the internet for the majority to “protect” the minority.
So long as you trust that no means no.
In my case won’t matter company has deplyed Edge on all company Mac’s for better integration apparently. (͡•_ ͡• )
Great app.
Might be nice to also have a section for instances that the searched instance has defederated from.
I know this can be seen elsewhere but would be nice to have all the information in one place.
So true, outside of work I haven’t used a pc/laptop in over 4 years.
I have an android phone and tablet and they serve the majority of my needs perfectly.
That said I’m about to get one of my daughter’s old MacBook airs which is beyond OS updates and am going to put Linux on it to tinker with some things I can’t do on android. Still not sure which OS to go with but am fifty fifty between Ubuntu and Pop_OS.
So potentially Blizzard games etc? Would be great perhaps on a tablet.
Personally I use Kodi, I stream eveything and enable downloads for when I’m travelling.
My setup:
Addons = Seren / Fen
Real-Debrid account. Better high quality buffer free torrent streaming.
And Trakt to keep a track of TV shows.
Ah yes, another lie from the brexiteer brigade which is a gift for future generations to live with.
€250 is a hard price point but a Samsung A series is probably going to give the best performance for the money.
Not being directly helpful but I searched in Kodi where I have tmdb as the show provider and real debrid as my stream provider.
All episodes show but I don’t see any links from torrentio, which my add-on uses.
Maybe the issue is the default show provider stremio uses, see if you can add another one, and torrentio.
I use it on android as it’s privacy focused and allows encrypted sync across devices.
Works for me as I’m a phone and tablet only user with no desktop to organise sync.
I’ve tried others like Firefox but don’t like the interface on android tablet , no tabs so is just a bloated phone app. I tried opera but it doesn’t support my password manager so I’ve ended up sticking with Vivaldi and to be honest it’s a good overall experience.
Instagram also a great source for good food with simple recipes.
Each user has their own experience. In a household of 6 where I’m the sole android user , iPhones are not perfect.
I’ve seen them just freeze requiring a trip to the Apple store to unblock, constant disconnects frim WiFi, not switching on mesh network, dropping apple watch connections.
I’ve never experienced any issues with my android devices, save fory pizel 7 which seems to forget Bluetooth devices, which is super annoying.
My current phone Pixel 7 supports 60/90, my previous phone had 60/120 Xiaomi Mi11.
Both run at 60, why? Because I’m absolutely buggered if I can tell the difference other than higher rate drains the battery quicker.
Mainly mobile gaming with a Samsung Tab S6, with pc games via Nvidia Geforce.
I don’t really play enough PC games to justify a gaming rig/laptop.
Me too. I’ve now migrated to feddit.uk , I was lucky that I had locally cached pages for my subscriptions so I was able to replicate them, all be it manually, but at least i now have a new instance with all my subs.
I’ve migrated from fmhy to feddit.uk, luckily my subscriptions were on a cached web page soon was able to manually re-subscribe.
None that I can think.
They’re no slower from what I see on daily use and both are privacy focused.
