This is awesome! Side note for Memmy users… how do you view all 7 images here? Not working!

Did they die fro drugs? Kids these days like to party
It’s a classic tactic, you open up compatibility with an open source platform so everyone moves to the fancy app that supports it all (threads) then they drop support and kill the platform (fediverse). They’ll do it and will likely be successful unless they’re blocked completely right now.
I hope nobody forgets how the CEO of reddit tried to slander Apollo’s creator saying he tried to blackmail them for millions of dollars, and then evidence was brought that showed he is a liar (didn’t realize the call was recorded)
Awesome to the max
I’ve watched this place explode since Monday, this is just the beginning
The Memmy client on iOS convinced me, essentially same Apollo experience with a nicer and more informed community. Seems like everyone who actually participated on Reddit is moving here
Neat
This looks like a paid business vpn… are you even hosting it? I don’t get it
Setting up your own wireguard vpn at home is a great option. Look up pivpn. I recommend setting the port to 443 or network time (123) to spoof your traffic and have it work everywhere
The raspi is either a small hacking tool, or a learning tool. It certainly isn’t ideal for things like nextcloud, but it is by far the coolest and most fun way to learn Linux and self hosted services. I ran emulation station, did nextcloud, pihole, pivpn, fail2ban, did robotics, learned python. I now use it for one thing - pivpn (Wireguard) and pihole to access my home network remotely
We’re already at the point where maybe we shouldn’t make this platform too popular because then every hobby sub will have the words “first time” and every other sub will be full of hate
