In my neighborhood taking stuff left at the curb is the norm. Sometimes we‘ll leave a sign to clarify something is free. There have been times when I’ve taken something, used it for a while, then put it back out in the curb for someone else to enjoy.
Well how long to you think that’s going to last? They are for-profit companies after all.
If they can base their business on stealing, then we can steal their AI services, right?
Yes… for reasons.
Yeah, the Democratic party really showed us how they think about positive change when they blocked Bernie. We’re seeing the same dysfunction with how Harris has softened her position on a number of issues. That party machine mainly thinks of itself.
'Had a similar experience with a 2020 Bernie rally in Los Angeles. Big arena, lots of energy, long lines. It was loud but a good experience. I’d recommend it at least once for a candidate that you feel strongly for.
PS: I went on to canvas for Bernie. He won the primary in California!
Yeah, scare them into it with warnings about the approaching giant space goat.
So the purple areas are disputed, still being fought over?

So there will be a prisoner swap later… In Russia, what kind of reception might a soldier get once it’s learned that they surrendered? At best they’ll immediately be sent back to the front?
Of course Ukrain taking over Russia would be a way to end the war.
That second image, of the power plant, looks like it was from a Pink Floyd album cover.
Get in the habit of getting into habits. My high school chemistry teacher turned me onto this. Make a point of doing something every day for a while and soon it will become hard NOT to do it.
Our dog taught himself how to roll a ball with pretty good accuracy. Coming home from our morning walks we’d play a game where he’d push the ball so it would roll down our driveway. I’d return it. With much concentration and practice he got good at getting it to roll all the way down - even sometimes doing bank shots.
They really mean… “Fossil fuel extraction compatible with climate action our short-term profits.”
The first time camping with my girlfriend. We drove 25 miles down a dirt road to get to the campsite but found it was full. (We hadn’t realized that it was opening day of hunting season.) So we drove 25 miles back and started looking for a hotel. No luck after multiple tries. It was getting dark and we were tired.
The surprise? We still got along just great! Even with the setbacks we took it easy on each other and still found humor. Eventually we found a hotel room, then the next day a beautiful campsite.
So I married her.
“The Good Place” - you bet your fudging life!
You gotta hand it to those US “Defense” industry lobbyists. The US is now shoveling money towards that industry to support both sides of the “it’s OK to invade our neighbors” argument. In Israel’s case I guess it helps that that country also has lobbyists.
