It’s been supported for years but definitely one of the least user friendly cloud setups
https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/nest/
Have to set up both a cloud project and device access project and configure pub/sub all within Google cloud services just to get it to talk to home assistant. And then obviously the entire integration is still cloud dependent. And there’s a $5 fee on top of that to get access to these services which while not much is still annoying. The API support is also limited and doesn’t support newer features like the additional temperature sensor pucks (which have been out for like 2-3 years)
There are a few zwave thermostats out there and ecobee can be set up using HomeKit for completely cloudless local control so I’ll be jumping on one of those to get rid of the nest.
I was an earlier adopter of nest and I while it was initially cool my next thermostat will be something with support for local control and better home assistant integration not tied to the cloud
Unless the amount they have to pay exceeds what it was going to cost them to honor those lifetime agreements this is just the cost of doing business not a penalty
Unmarked cars have been around forever
They had a 50% to get this correct and did it backwards

Time flies I guess it’s almost a year old already but this is what I was referring to
Read his new book and it was a cool look into that era of game design and development. Id games played a huge part in my becoming a computer geek
I still have hope. The end of Half Life Alyx gave a nice setup for the sequel and changed the ending of episode 2 tying the two timelines together
Aside from the gameplay of the recent Doom games being top tier I really enjoyed how they tied the original story into things. Was really cool to come to learn the tie in as I progressed through the game. This looks great I’m ready to rip and tear
Just added the “uh-oh” sound as an alert tone on iOS 🫡
I haven’t played in the last year or so but the game did age very well. I played it like everyone else when it first came out and the novelty quickly wore off and the game had very little depth. I revisited it many years later on a whim and was surprised with how much content had been added. I ended up playing regularly for a few years after that with my wife. The game is definitely dependent on where you live and now that I’m in a more rural area I don’t play very much but even in a medium population city it’s was very enjoyable. I joined a local discord and we attended many community days and it was a great deal of fun and very social. Fond memories, and I hope to revisit the game again
I mean he was one of the founders and original board members of OpenAI so it’s not that abstract
Four score and seven years ago, in the end it doesn’t even matter
Incoming attempts to legislate recordless VPN bans and over the top piracy mitigation strategies instead of attempting to provide better services to their users
If you happen to own the original game on steam you get the remaster for free as an update for what that’s worth
