I got mine smack in the middle of a boss fight in Remnant 2 lol, but my build is stupidly tanky enough that I was able alt-tab close it fast enough to not even die. Felt a little proud of that.
I may or may not be any number of unfathomable beings.

What core utilities does Firefox need that it doesn’t have? Honest question. I’ve been using it over a decade and never had it fail to do something I asked it to, and I’m a little out of the loop on the web browser development news cycle beyond the recent wave of Google Bad.
I’m waist deep in The Dresden Files right now (just started Turn Coat, book 11 of like 20 and counting) and it very quickly became one of my favorite series I’ve ever read. Jim Butcher has woven a web of a story where every little detail is a foreshadow that often won’t pay off until two books later, it’s incredible.
Prior to this I read The Expanse and that one also comes highly recommended. It’s one of the most believable space operas I’ve ever read. I also hear the TV show is good, no idea, never watched it.
If it’s not for you it’s not for you, but I will say the Persona series took a big turn for the better around Persona 3. The modern ones don’t have a whole lot in common with the first couple beyond some basic play structure. If the last one you played was on the PS1 and you’re at all interested in an anime JRPG then P5 is worth a second look.
And last year you could have also said “nobody is going to threaten nuclear escalation with all of NATO at once” and I’d have believed it, but look where we are
EU4 is pretty much exactly as difficult as being a real king in history just without any of the long term consequences. Paradox worked pretty hard to make this the case.
Fair, a good instructor would tell you so though. Helps visualize the correct motions better.
Ukraine is going to invent psykers in 2031 when NATO runs out of missiles
Yeah people who don’t practice Tai Chi usually don’t realize that most of those movements they’re doing out there are slowed and exaggerated joint locks and throws. It is a combat training routine used as exercise.
Okay, so, I agree with you in spirit, but this sounds like you’re attempting to legislate that social media companies are not allowed to pursue user engagement of their product. Basically telling them that they’re not allowed to seek profit. I don’t actually know how you go about drafting a law that describes this correctly, or how you actually enforce it after it’s in place. Basically every move these companies make would then have to be subject to scrutiny by a court of investigators to see if it falls outside of legal boundaries or not, and said court is statistically likely to be chock full of people that have less than zero idea of what they are actually looking at.
That particular genie is out of the bottle and I don’t know how we put it back in short of banning social media and/or advertising altogether, which is basically a non starter, that’s not realistically going to happen. I do support this goal but we need to cook this a little more to get an actual solution and not a leaky band-aid.
Hell yeah thank you
I knew him from Lonely Island before I ever saw any of his SNL stuff or B99, so for me it’s like seeing Weird Al become a successful screen actor. I like Andy so it makes me smile.
The blind text transcriptions are becoming a second layer of meta-meme within the meme itself
There’s a section under the “read more” split where it complains about over-tutorialization. The game hits you over the head with puzzle solutions and intended routes and leaves nothing for the player to figure out.
I’ve tried and bounced off several mobas at the request of my friends over the years, but Deadlock is really pulling me in recently. I was surprised too.
And that’s fine, different strokes and all. I personally find it highly goddamn hilarious and enjoy playing it with my gaming group. I just think it’s a little disingenuous to say “palworld devs did nothing to prevent this, sad” when the whole original concept was basically designed around parodying Pokémon. They knew what they were doing.
The whole game was intended from the very beginning to thumb their nose at Nintendo, just so happens that it got really popular and sold a ton of copies because it isn’t difficult to make a better Pokémon game than The Pokémon Company does, even when the entire game in question is a shitpost.
John Carmack is human intelligence
[X] Doubt
John Carmack is many things, but I have my doubts about whether human is one of them. At minimum, he’s some kind of alien. Most days I lean more toward incognito archdevil of the plane of knowledge. I’ve heard someone accuse him of being God, or at least standing in for him on Wednesdays.
I played it on PS4 and the load times were hilariously awful but the game ran fine. But seriously, like 6+ minute load times in the late game, compared to around 20 seconds on PC. Don’t know how the Xbox would compare, probably depends which Xbox.
The games were pretty clearly intended for PC but they control fine on console/controller.
