I wish I could say we just gotta wait 4 years but I wouldn’t believe if I said it. The US is past a fucking joke. Just… Fucking dammit…

This was before the EU forced them to implement RCS.
100% agreed. Assumptions were made. It’s all good. Communication is key to understanding differences and growing.
Not sure how you got puritanical from that. It’s actually medical. Anything in excess will damage your body. I’m just as concerned for people’s bodily health as I am their spiritual health.
I think it says more about their actual beliefs in God. As a Christ follower, I believe everyone has their own path to take. If drugs in moderation is one of them, go for it. Hell, it’s theorized Moses was tripping on shrooms when talking to God.
Those who fear being exposed to “other” things will take them away from God (beyond addiction, that’s a whole other thing), then they never believed in the first. They just use it as a shield to justify their horrible actions.
No, we’re a minority. Not third class. Hell, Android itself runs the Linux kernel. Should be a few slaps of paint to get it working. (I know it’s much more complicated than that.)
Thanks for mentioning GalliumOS! I’ll be putting that on my SO’s old Chromebook now.
Interesting, when I took Waymo, it was cheaper than Uber and Lyft, pre tip.
Going off what fishpen0 said, Waymo actually has sensors on it to detect things and can “understand” its surroundings much better than Tesla cars can wish just cameras.
I’ve ridden in Waymos and they are smooth riding. After the initial “OMG! There’s no driver!” You kind of forget about it. You get to your (limited area) destination safely and without much hassle.
I can go more in depth if ya want.
Signal stickers is a good enough repo to integrate them
Signal Stickers works well enough to have a good repo of stickers.
But I can’t use the same logic to yarr-harr their content even though I pay for the subscription. It comes with Hulu Live TV + no ads so I have to have it.
Cause we’re not at Warhammer 40k levels of insanity… yet.
Awesome! Thanks so much!
I have a boat load of stuff thru nginx. Using nginx-proxymanager. Dunno if I need to add any special parameters for Jellyfin. Tailscale Funnel is working fine for now.
If you could share your settings for your nginx setup, that might help me.
If and when Jellyfin “needs” revenue, 100% agree. But with that post they’re saying they’re not worried about it, unlike FUTO/Immich.
Hopefully one day Jellyfin will be big enough and stable enough to warrant that kind of funnel.
Right now, I use TailScale funnel for Jellyfin. For some reason nginx just bogs it down too heavily.
My biggest question to FUTO/Immich is if they’re worried about a revenue stream, why not do something similar to Home Assistant? You never have to pay HASS a dime and never see anything to “shame” you. All you get is essentially a forwarding subdomain with some “easier” ways of doing cloud related things. There’s zero “shaming” or calls to pay. I pay HASS/Nabu Casa monthly cause I’m lazy and it makes my life easier. FUTO should consider doing something similar.
What server are you using for $15/year? That’s amazing.
Home Assistant doesn’t require to pay for anything at any point in time for any reason. If you want to expose your instance to the web, they have all the documents on how to do it yourself. There’s absolutely nothing “hidden” behind a paywall. The only reason to say is if you want Nabu Casa to handle exposing your instance to the internet and various cloud services like Google Assistant/Alexa. The reason to pay Nabu Casa is if you don’t have the technical know how (or lazy like me) and to help fund Home Assistant (which I want).
That’s all to say that Plex and Home Assistant are not similar in their pay scheme. It’d be more akin if Jellyfin started charging users to allow a one click way to stream outside the home with no obligation to.
