I’ve drank quite a few more than just 3, so I’m basically indestructible

It was… minus the battery failures after a year or so of use. The 6P was supposed to be their foot in the NA market, and they fucked it. Mine failed, family members’ failed, friends failed. The LG was no better for that year, something about a mobo shorting after X amount of time with the 5X. Again, family members’ had them, failed.

I had a 1950X and 2950X, before my current cpu. It was fine, both barely even noticed that it was being taxed by games, like a 10-15% load where my 7800X3D is like 40-50%. Great for video rendering and stuff too, it wasn’t uncommon to do both at the same time and the system was still responsive and quick.

Now I’m not about to drop the kind of cash required to upgrade to a 32-64 core chip, and yet another board, as the prices went out of prosumer/high end enthusiast with 3xxx and beyond. And the fact that TR4 only lasted 2 gens when we were promised much longer service/upgrade lives…

But TR for games is the tits. Financially moronic but it goes baby, it goes.

While I can’t argue with your point, it does at least require a small amount of effort to get elected, vs just picking names out of a hat or whatever.

USAA does this. I renentl learned that, when I updated my password a few years back to my personal standard number of characters, everything was good until someone mentioned this fuck-up in a thread. USAA only checks the first… 16? characters. I assume it just discards anything beyond that. Other users say that it warns and doesn’t let you enter more than that during password creation, but it/my pw mgr sure didn’t care, as I have a password several fold that limit. I took out a couple characters from my ‘set’ password, and it still logged in just fine. 16, just fine. 15, error.

Fucking wild.

Their sauce too, omfg I like chicken but it’s like dipping the thing in liquid shit. How the fuck do they think this is the ideal sauce? Did they hire yes-men with no functional taste buds to decide on their sauce? When they were popping up around me a few years ago, family and friends tried them a couple times each. Everyone thought that, while the chicken is fine, the sauce kills it. Nobody I know has been back in… 7 years?

Don’t trust anyone who needs to advertise. If they were actually good products/services, they wouldn’t need to advertise, as word of mouth and reputation does that for you. You don’t see any Rolls-Royce ads on primetime television…

If you find yourself interested because of advertising, always, always be skeptical of all claims. Don’t just believe, but research, verify.

Oh hell no. You know how braindead most people are at something relatively simple like driving a car, managing finances, or logical decision making? And then you want to roll the dice and let potentially ‘the average’ citizen to partake in government? This also means you have to be fine with the dumbest motherfucker you have ever come across, making policy decisions.

It’s also much more secure to reboot (and not unlock) it, should it be taken from you and potentially tried to be broken into or compromised in some way, usually to extract data and perform forensics. A phone that has been unlocked is weaker with protection than one which has been restarted and awaiting first unlock.

Better: restart the phone. This puts it into the safest state it has, as it has not yet been initially unlocked and will require a non-bio auth. Stronger security, may/should hold if they attempt to attack/hack/compromise it, if it comes to that. Takes like 3 seconds. Do it, not the equal-time-worse-security version of just disabling bio.

Nexus 6P / 5X all the way to Pixel 5 had it.

While I miss the rear scanner, I have had no issues with the under-display type in the 6/7/8. I see people online every time this topic comes up, screaming that it’s awful, but… cannot reproduce, ticket closed.
