- The US plans to stop open orders for Patriot interceptor missiles, the Financial Times reported.
- It aims to send them to Ukraine instead, leaving other countries to wait, per the FT.
- Ukraine has repeatedly asked for more Patriot systems, but has only received a handful from its allies.
On the plus side, this means that Ukraine will be getting the bees knees in terms of modern interceptors.
And probably a lot of countries will check expiration dates and check if they can trade their old for the newer production dates.
I also wonder if the patriot software will be made aware of the age of each of her missiles and tasked to prioritize launching the oldest if possible.
