BOMBS@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Advice Needed: How to get immunotherapy treatment in a rural area where the clinics do not administer the shots?7·1 year agoNo OP, but I’m thinking they mean a pharmacy that is not owned by a chain like Walgreens or CVS. Locally own pharmacies are usually owned by one person or a family and they specialize in compounding medications. That’s when they make medications for specific customers that have unique needs, which interestingly, includes pets 🐶🐱. Try searching for a “compounding pharmacy” near you or ask a veterinarian clinic if they know of one. I’m sure they’ll be happy to answer that iver the phone even if you’re not a current customer.

I think they meant that as a joke. Obviously, even if someone had extraordinarily large breasts, they could just peek over them or move them to side.

FYI: For those that have never heard of the term:
Protein poisoning (also referred to colloquially as rabbit starvation, mal de caribou, or fat starvation) is an acute form of malnutrition caused by a diet deficient in fat and carbohydrates, where almost all bioavailable calories come from the protein in lean meat

I believe it happened just after Bloody Sunday, but I can’t find it now. Anyone here remember what the catalyst was for the Russian Navy on some island to join the Russian Revolution?

Edit: I couldn’t find anything on them crashing during their convoys, but I found a couple that lived out of an RV they decked out in Trump stuff and would sell things out of as their business. The same exact RV was involve into incidents; you can’t make this up! In the first one, they stopped in the right lane of a highway early in the morning. Another woman stopped to help them. Their trailer was hit by yet another motorist and killed the woman that stopped to help. In the second incident, which happened recently, they totaled the RV by crashing it into a pole. I hope they stay off of the road because they seem like a hazard (either oblivious or neglectful at the least) and one person already lost their life.

Origin
The name Marathon comes from the legend of Pheidippides, the Greek messenger. The legend states that, while he was taking part in the Battle of Marathon, which took place in August or September 490 BC,[3] he witnessed a Persian vessel changing its course towards Athens as the battle was near a victorious end for the Greek army. He interpreted this as an attempt by the defeated Persians to rush into the city to claim a false victory or simply raid,[4] hence claiming their authority over Greek land. It was said that he ran the entire distance to Athens without stopping, discarding his weapons and even clothes to lose as much weight as possible, and burst into the assembly, exclaiming “we have won!”, before collapsing and dying.[5]
Modern Olympic marathon
When the modern Olympics began in 1896, the initiators and organizers were looking for a great popularizing event, recalling the glory of ancient Greece. The idea of a marathon race came from Michel Bréal, who wanted the event to feature in the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 in Athens. This idea was heavily supported by Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympics, as well as by the Greeks.[15]
That submarine was trailing the Russian ships the whole time, the Russian ships had no idea, and there are more submarines in the waters nearby. The whole purpose was to show the Russian ships that they are sitting ducks.
