The answer to questions like these is always money.

Columbo vs anime characters is the best genre of murder mystery
Never used it, might check that one out after
It’s the best replacement for Google keyboard I’ve tried by a wide mile. I like the gestures it has by comparison, they allow finer control. It’s also very stylish. I’ll probably use it for a long while.
That’s just the most popular ones frankly. There are exceptions, but the popular anime tend to follow tropes more closely than the less popular ones.
Anime is more of a medium than a genre, though there are certainly tropes that you’ll find in the vast majority of shows like over-acted dialogue and facial expressions, over-explaining, slow pace, etc.
I’m in the middle of the mage exam arc and right now I’m severely disappointed with it. I know people tend to say this arc is the worst in the series, but it’s really starting to wear on me. Hoping it gets better.
Gotta be the first half of Death Note, before that one guy dies, trying not to spoil it lol but if you know you know
I felt like it was this at first, but eventually it becomes more of your standard Shounen “which guy is strongest? Find out next week” sort of affair. All the side characters and filler really distracted from the point of the show for me. More than just providing context and justification for the main plot, it took away from it IMO.
Found FUTO to be my favorite of the and trying it out now as a daily driver, thanks for the suggestion :)
The energy tonic one is best imo. Made with tea and pear juice plus some other stuff.
The biggest news here is that semiconductor production is amping up in the states, which is good for national security and reduces reliance on Taiwan.
Yeah, and you can install extensions even if they’re not on Mozilla’s addon store.
They can either lose the Russian market entirely or capitulate to this demand, I think it’s pretty obvious what they’re going to choose. Mozilla may be an NPO but it still needs revenue to survive.
Can we also stop calling mods “reloaded” and the like when they’re really just visual updates? Nothing about that screams “reloaded” to me!
Calling into United:
Hey I see you charged me $400 for a replacement screen? Tell me, where did you buy the targeted ad data you used to display ads on that screen? Oh, an agency that I signed terms and conditions for at some point? Shit, alright then.
I mean, fuck United tho and they will not be getting and damn money from me.
The non-political communities on .ml are poisoned by mods who ban users based on their political opinions they voice in other communities. If you’re critical of China, you will likely be banned from all communities on .ml, regardless of if they’re political.
They do not have a clearly defined moderation policy, they are flagrantly banning any dissenters to their political views from communities unrelated to the posts in question. Allowing them to grow more power in the space by keeping them federated with other large instances is a bad thing imo.
I also got banned from all communities on .ml that I had participated in after making a joke about how Tienanmen Square was like a glue trap for tankies. Really bad image for Lemmy. Considering we’re growing as a community, I don’t see why we should allow authoritarians to participate. Allowing that will just ingratiate their standards into the culture of the platform.
I mean AI bullshit like Copilot being added to Windows then quietly paywalled, ridiculous products like the Rabbit R1, and the arms race involving products that aren’t ready for market or produced ethically. LLMs still just make shit up a lot of the time.
I think Mickey just serves as a stand-in for Disney in general
