As a kid, when i was 4 i managed to squeeze the whole jam doughnut into my parents stereo. My father had to use toothpicks to pull it out.

What is it about being a kid with food and wanting to squeeze stuff into spaces where it isn’t supposed to go?

I’m not saying its bad … I’m just pointing out why we even think this way … as adults we still have that urge, we just have more self control.

I made a cake today … and I wondered to myself what would happen if I spread the frosting on my laptop keyboard … I wish I could say I made that up but I actually stood there with a spatula full of frosting while watching a youtube video on my laptop on the kitchen counter.

      Now I want frosting :(

But yeah, I get weird thoughts like that too where I just stare at whatever I’m thinking about until I realize what I’m thinking is insane

My wife gave me a recipe from her mother years ago that their family loves and my wife asks me about three or four times a year to make the cake … just to remember her mom and her childhood.

I just made the cake complete with way too much frosting and I used those pastry bag things to decorate the cake. Being an adult and making a cake with all this cake stuff and frosting always makes me think of my childhood too and in remembering my mom making a cake when I was kid with my younger brothers. We’d fight one another to lick the frosting off the mixing paddles or the spatula or the frosting bag thing. Being alone in the kitchen I licked all the utensils clean before putting them in the sink … OMMM NOM NOM NOM NOM!!!

But being old sucks … now I have a sugar hang over and a headache :(

I think this is exactly why we have intrusive thoughts, evolutionarily. The ability for man to take a thought and manipulate to horrible, extreme outcomes means that we don’t have to act these thoughts out in real life and end up maiming or killing ourselves in the process.

Idk… As adult I don’t have that urge. But as a kid I did stuff cookies in the VCR.

Maybe the opening makes us think as a mouth and like if it was a living thing that we have to feed.

There was some kind of evil book I remember only a page of, which was like ‘bad advice to give children’ or something. ‘If you place a slice of salami in a DVD player, it will show a short educational film about pigs’ or something like that.
