No. Their purpose was to keep them out, disarm them and provide safety for the Lebanese people. They should have admitted defeat years ago. They failed, tats it, now Israel has to do the dirty work, to defend their civilians against the Iranian governments terrorism brigades.
It is not the mandate of UNIFIL to directly fight people, unless in self defense. Stop conflating the general goals of the resolution with the mandate of UNIFIL.
