As a caffeine connoisseur, the “high end” energy drinks designed as pre-work out are all sugar free to prevent the terrible crash & stored sugar energy reserves. Was a night and day difference when I switched.

Bang, Reign, & C4 are the dedicated brands, Rockstar X-Durance is another popular one.

Bang, yes. The Rockstar X-Durance, specifically. The thing to look for is them being sugar free & having 300mg of caffeine in a can. That’s “high end” compared to Monster, Red Bull, etc.

Holy shit, 300mg caffeine sounds insane to me (a German). Over here Energy Drinks are not allowed to contain more than 32mg caffeine/100ml. So a big can (500ml) would have 160ml. Those are already a bit too much for me, I can only imagine how 300mg would feel.

C4’s are nice and my usual but it’s lame only a few of the flavors have 300mg caffeine and I don’t terribly like any of them. The artic snowcone or the “ruthless raspberry” are passable. Their Popsicle flavors are absolutely fantastic though but only 200.

The Skittles and Starburst flavors are the ones I usually go after, but yeah, they stiff you on the caffeine.

Reign is my go to, can get a 24 pack at Sam’s club for $35. 8 each of white gummi bear, orange creamsicle, and rainbow sherbet.

Shit. You’re gonna make me go back to reign.

I switched to Redbull because of the lower caffeine content (I feel like it’s starting to effect me with jitteriness and anxiety but still need it to function (yay undiagnosed ADHD)) but that orange creamsicle was sex in my mouth and when I was able to handle it that 300mg felt AMAZING.

I might just have a heart attack at work tomorrow.

Yeah, that creamsicle is chef’s kiss; definitely my favorite.

As a Nightshift Psychopath™ my caffeine dependencies are a bit different than “normal” people who drink coffee and don’t get accused of Vampirism. A buddy of mine used to make “pixie stix” out of C4 powder & Boba Straws for the times you get voluntold into a 16hr shift.

I haven’t reached that point yet, but I’ve thought about it more than I thought I would.

I like NOS, personally. But it bugs me so much how their sugar free version isn’t just sugar free; it’s also a completely different flavor and tastes horrible. The normal version tastes like nectarines or something. The sugarless one tastes like orange juice that’s been carbonated but with nothing to cut through the bitterness of the carbonic acid.
